Charakteristik: Isle of Jura besitzt eine volle, reiche und trockene Nase. Im Duft erinnert der Whisky an frisch gefällte Kiefernbäume, Farnkraut und Waldboden. Der Körper ist ölig-fest und sahnig. Im Geschmack dominieren gemahlener Koriander und Orange.

Isle of Jura 10 Years old ist sehr delikat, leicht torfig mit einem Hauch von Nussigkeit.

    Ich war vorher niiiie Whiskeytrinker! Ich hatte ein paar Sorten mal probiert, aber dieser torfige, moderige Geschmack sagt mir nicht zu. Dann habe ich mal an einem Whiskeyseminar teilgenommen und lernte dort den ein oder anderen Unterschied kennen und auch wie es zu mehr oder weniger "Torfgeschmack" kommt... Wie auch immer, ich kam dann durch Zufall an den 10 jährigen Jura und ich finde ihn großartig! Er ist ganz "mild" - keine Ahnung ob man das so bei Whiskey sagt - und er brennt überhaupt nicht. Ich trinke ihn eiskalt und kann ihn nur den Leuten empfehlen denen es vielleicht genauso geht wie mir... mal an einem Whiskeyseminar teilgenommen und lernte dort den ein oder anderen Unterschied kennen und auch wie es zu mehr oder weniger "Torfgeschmack" kommt...
